Introduction

Established in 1992, Kinrade's Pharmacy is an independantly Manx owned business. As such, we are not connected with any of the multiples that exist on the Island.

We aim to provide a high quality service to patients and customers, whilst retaining the personal touch that you would expect from a local business.

We have fully trained staff and regular locums to ensure continuity and your safety, which is paramount to us.

NHS Dispensing

We carry a vast stock of drugs, dressings and appliances in order for us to complete your prescription. Unlike some other pharmacies on the Island, we use multiple wholesalers to ensure continuity of supply, making us less vulnerable to national stock shortages.

We pride ourselves in being able to supply 99% of all prescriptions when they are presented, and we can usually supply any remainder in under 24 hours.

We carry an extensive range of dressings reflecting our involvement in wound management both within the community and Nursing Homes that we supply.

Drug Interaction Monitoring

Each time we dispense your prescription, the Pharmacist on duty checks to ensure that there are no dangerous interactions between your medicines that you are taking. We are also able to check that any purchased medicines do not interact with your prescribed medication, and are suitable for you to take. Your safety is paramount to us.

If we detect a significant drug interaction, we will contact the prescribing doctor immediately and discuss the situation with them. This usually allows us to supply you with a suitable alternative without you needing to go back to the doctors again.

Opening Hours

We do not close for lunch, and there is always a Pharmacist upon the premises so that your prescriptions can be prepared promptly.

We participate in the Douglas and Onchan rota service, in rotation with other pharmacies.
